Candidate Forum on May 13

for County Council District 4

Special Election on May 19

On May 19 there will be a special election to replace the late Don Praisner, Montgomery County Council Member for District 4.  All registered voters are encouraged to cast their vote for one of the three candidates.

The Sandy Spring Ashton Rural Preservation Consortium (SSARPC) and Greater Sandy Spring Green Space will host a Candidate Forum at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, May 13 in the Sherwood High School cafeteria in Sandy Spring.  All three candidates for the Council seat for District 4 will attend:  Nancy Navarro (Democrat), Robin Ficker (Republican) and George Gluck (Green Party).  It is very important that the newly elected council member understand the concerns of District 4, and, in particular, the Sandy Spring and Ashton areas, and the two sponsors believe that the Candidate Forum will provide the candidates with more knowledge of local concerns.

In order to encourage as many questions as possible, we are asking people to submit their questions in writing by sending an email to feedback@ssarpc.org.  At the event, there will also be cards to fill out with your questions.  If you would like a particular candidate to answer the question first, please so indicate when you submit your question.

Please help us advertise this event by sharing the attached flyer with your friends (via email or on paper) or posting the flyer in stores.
